Thomas O. Pearson, MD

Leading Neurologist and Sleep Medicine Physician, Thomas O. Pearson, MD.

Dr. Thomas O. Pearson is a highly experienced neurologist, having been in practice for more than 30 years. His career in medicine started in 1986, when he graduated from the Pennsylvania State University College of Medicine in Hershey. An internship followed at Polyclinic Hospital, before he returned to the Pennsylvania State University in Hershey to complete a residency and fellowship. Dr. Pearson was also fellowship trained at Duke University for TMS Therapy.

Dr. Pearson is board certified in Neurology and Sleep Medicine by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology and treats patients with many ailments, including:

 Dr. Pearson also performs expert procedures ranging from both lab-based and home-based EEG (electroencephalogram) testing for epilepsy, and EMG (electromyography) nerve conduction testing, as well as lab-based or home-based poly-somnography (sleep testing). 

Dr. Pearson has served as a consultant for various pharmaceutical companies and government agencies and is an active lecturer on subjects including Alzheimer’s Disease, Insomnia, and Sleep Disorders. Dr. Pearson has also received several awards, including the 2017 Top Neurologist and Sleep Medicine Specialist in Palm Harbor Florida, and 2016 Top Doctors As Chosen By Their Peers for Tampa Magazine.

Sarah Pearson

Sarah completed training at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia and worked in radiology at Temple University Hospital.  She then received an Associate’s in Sciences at Hahnemann University (now Drexel) followed by a career in MRI technology. During this time she completed a Bachelor of Science degree with Honors at Widener University.  She went on to further education receiving an Associate’s Degree with Honors in Health Information Technology and received her CPC (Certified Professional Coder) certification. She completed a Fellowship in Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS) at Duke University and Certification in TMS application through Neuronetics. 

Sarah has performed Radiography at Temple University Hospital from 1980 to 1987, CT imaging and MRI imaging at a Hahnemann University Affiliate, MRI imaging at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital from 1990 through 2012.  She then began to provide medical coding for spine surgery, and is performing TMS procedures at Penn-Tampa Neurology and TMS Wellness Center.
